Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 1, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Litgent Serve (Litgent Serve) collects, uses, and protects information from law firms and their clients who use our platform.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: account details (name, email, firm information), client and case data your firm enters into the platform, documents and files you upload, and communications sent through our platform. We also collect technical information automatically (IP addresses, browser type, device data, usage logs) to operate and secure the service.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide, maintain, and improve Litgent Serve. This includes operating the platform, processing payments, providing support, sending service communications, and improving our features. We do not use your client data to train AI models. We do not sell your information.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share information only with: (1) service providers who help us operate the platform under strict confidentiality, (2) authorities when required by valid legal process, and (3) your firm administrators who manage access. Your client data stays within your firm account.

Data Retention

We retain account and case data for as long as your firm maintains an active subscription. After cancellation, we provide a 30-day window to export your data, after which it is deleted from production systems. Backup retention follows industry-standard rolling cycles.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Firms acting as data controllers can manage these rights for their clients within the platform. Contact support@litgent.ai to make a request.

Security Practices

We use encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access controls, regular security audits, and infrastructure hosted with enterprise-grade providers. See our Security page for more details. While we follow industry best practices, no system is completely secure.

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication, security, and remembering your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

Children Privacy

Litgent Serve is intended for use by law firms and their adult employees. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify firms of material changes via email or through the platform. The Effective Date above reflects the most recent update.
